Moonshine on TV
Despite its illicit nature, moonshine is a definitive part of the American culture. Who hasn’t seen The Beverly Hillbillies run a moonshine still back in the 1960s? Even Homer Simpson drank moonshine. Discovery Channel is currently featuring moonshiners doing what they do best -distilling alcohol.
Below are other TV characters and shows wherein hooch played a prominent role.
The Waltons didn’t know they loved Moonshine
It is impossible to not laugh and love the Baldwin sisters for keeping the memory of their departed father alive by concocting a batch of their beloved “recipe” which unbeknownst to them was moonshine whiskey.
M*A*S*H* mashed Moonshine
TV characters Hawkeye Pierce and John McIntyre made moonshine in the show MASH while inside a tent in their makeshift distillery. They also referred to their “product” as gin.
